Types of Soil Compaction Equipment
Based on its mass, soil compaction equipment may be divided into two types.
- equipment for light soil compaction
- heavy soil compacting machinery
In the sections that follow, we'll go over each of these types of equipment and the types of machines that fall into these two groups in greater detail.
Vibratory Tampers
We carry many vibratory tampers such as our Wacker Neuson: WP 1340AW Vibratory Asphalt Plate. An alternate mechanism operated by a motor spring activates the base plate on vibratory tampers. Vibratory tampers are also suited for usage in restricted zones in smaller regions. Vibrations can also be utilized to compress various sorts of soils.
Vibratory Plate Compactors
Vibratory plate compactors are utilized mostly on coarse soils, such as sand, that include four to eight percent fine particles, such as clay. In contrast to rammers, which compress soil by impacting it, vibratory plate compactors compact dirt by vibrating it.
Rammers
Rammers such as Wacker Neuson: DS70 Diesel Vibratory Rammer, Crown: Tamping Rammer - GX120 Honda RAM-70H, and Wacker Neuson: Oil-injected Vibratory Rammers are hand-steered, machine-powered tiny machines used for compacting small areas by impacting the earth. Rammers are less in weight so that a single person can manage them. The base size of the rammers are usually smaller of area ranging from 15 x 15 cm2 to 20 x 20 cm2. Usually, their weights are in the range of 30 kgs to 10 tons.
