Diamond saw blades are made from industrial-grade diamonds, sometimes referred to as synthetic diamonds. These diamonds are equally as hard and long-lasting as their natural counterparts, despite being created in a lab and referred to as "synthetic." As a result, anything, including real diamonds, may be cut, ground, and polished using them. The material is pounded into a thin powder so that the blade can cut through it.
